William Bishop, age 70 passed away at the University Hospital Cleveland medical Center in Cleveland Ohio. He was born on June 15th, 1950, in Cleveland, Ohio to Norman and Hazel Bishop.
He was a 1968 graduate of Kennedy High School. Billy was a US Army veteran, and had a passion for photography, traveling, jazz music, and he loved spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his companion Faye Grant , his daughter Simone Holmes, his granddaughter Samarrah Hutt, his brother Gerold (Toni) Bishop his sisters Shirley(Charles) Grays, and Deborah Bishop, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Family and friends of Billy are invited to attend the virtual memorial hosted by Virtual Memorial Gatherings on Saturday March 20th, 2021 at 1:00pm PST, to reminisce on the life of Billy, and to support each other in these trying times.

We were truly blessed to have our Uncle Billy in our lives for so many years. He loved his family and supported his nieces and nephews through all their major milestones in life. We will always cherish the memories that we shared with you!

We were truly family members as I have been a part of the Martin/Bishop clan forever. I’m sorry to hear that Billy is no longer here with us, however we both enjoyed each other’s company as we were both former servicemen. Not goodbye, but see you in the morning.

Hey everyone! I considered Bill a uncle.. I was with him every day for the last year and a half. He was funny and will be dearly missed. He and auntie fay came to my wedding on February 1st and that was special cause he really wanted to be there. I’m going to miss him. My love goes out to everyone who knew him, family and friends. Mr. William Bishop was a genuine father to me sent from God. He was a tough stubborn strong willed no none sense man but easy going pleasant relatable supportive person who you could naturally connect to because he knew how it was. “My Man” My Father My GODFATHER. I love you and I will always remember what you taught me what you showed me and everything you told me. Your influences your support your mental toughness and overall the blueprint you gifted with consistent real life examples you show cased in my honor of connection to you. God’s definition of a Good Man “Billy Bishop” I will never forget you!

Billy was my dad’s oldest friend. My dad just passed away in November. They knew each other since the the mid 60s! I remember Billy since I was a little boy. He always a kind man and he will be missed.
