No one could bring humor and ease to a situation quite like Wale. He had a rare gift for making everyone around him feel valued and important.
He demonstrated that gift to me one last time on July 25th, 2026, when he called me from his hospital bed. Even in his final days, he was thinking of others.
I am so grateful for the years of friendship we shared, and I will miss him deeply.
