Wale Sanya, it’s honestly hard to say goodbye to someone who was such a bright part of our class journey. From the moment our class platform was created, I got the chance to know you better and grow close to you, and I’m truly grateful for that.
Your jokes, your energy, and the way you always brought laughter and lightness to the group made such a difference. You had a way of making even ordinary moments memorable, and those are memories we’ll always cherish.
I will truly miss you, and honestly, the class is already feeling your absence. Thank you for the memories, the laughter, and the friendship. You may be gone, but your presence and the joy you brought to us will remain in our hearts.
Rest well, Wale, my friend! You’ll truly be missed. 🕊️❤️

    Dear Uncle Wale.

Once again I’d say here that I had wished to see you again as it had been a long while since we last saw – 19 years to be precise, as we were on two extreme ends of the earth.

What made the grief of your passing extremely painful for me was that I had heard your last procedure was successful and there was hope of recovery before you suddenly left us.

I believe God knows best. He has called you to rest in His bosom where you will never again know sorrow.

Even if we have not seen in a wide time period, by God’s grace, we shall meet again in the Lord’s Bosom in the end, and that truly would be the best place for me to meet my beloved uncle again.

Till we meet again, Uncle Wale.

When I woke up eight days ago on August 3, I did not know that the day would end on a sad note.

We were still basking in the euphoria of the joy of the success of what turned out to be your last procedure, but by noon my time, things had taken a different turn and here we are.

Since this illness started in 2022, I prayed very hard and begged God to please spare you to celebrate your 60th birthday anniversary but in His infinite wisdom, He disagreed with me. Yes, His decision is final and He will forever remain God and we shall forever love, worship and adore Him.

You were very analytical and strategic. At a tender age, you were able to analyse world affairs and conclude that:

    1. America would close her borders to immigrants within 50 years of 1993

    2. Nigeria would not see 50 years of uninterrupted good governance from 1993.

Unfortunately, both your predictions have become realities.

I enjoyed and will miss our animated and often protracted political debates and your endless rib cracking jokes.

You loved your children and you did your best for them.

You loved God, you served Him and taught your children to serve Him.

We therefore leave your soul in His able Hands.

May God forgive all your shortcomings, let your soul rest in His peace and let His light perpetual shine on you forever.

I pray that God’s love, power, mercy and wisdom will guide and guard your children into adulthood.

May God’s Holy Name be praised and magnified in all our lives now and forever. Amen.

    OAS!! Good night. Go well.
