Such a moving memorial, for a life well lived and a person fiercely loved by so many. I got to know Kevin for only a short time more recently as our IHA radiologist leader. He served as the bridge between IHA radiologists and the health authority, the first leader in that position, and navigated the role with grace and professionalism for many years. I see now where those traits developed, in his loving family and friends, by whom he will be so deeply missed. Thank you for providing this virtual memorial for those unable to attend in person and a place to send our heartfelt condolences to those who knew him well and loved him so much. He will be missed by many, cherish all your memories.

What a beautiful tribute to Kevin. An incredible life that was lived, shared and celebrated. To all the Beckner families, extended family, friends and coworkers I am hoping your memories will help bring you comfort in the coming days ! With love, Eric (Janine Beckner’s brother)

I’m sorry I wasn’t able to attend in person, but know you are in my thoughts today.
I was lucky enough to work alongside Kevin, on and off, for 16 years. He was a great leader and coworker whose calm and steady nature helped shape me into the tech and person I am today. I will forever miss his presence in the imaging department, but even more I’ll miss his trail reports for South Canoe and Larch Hills and our chats about our latest adventures. I’ll remember Kevin often, both at work and on the trails.

We are grateful for the opportunity to have heard the stories and tributes shared by Kevin’s family, friends and colleagues at his memorial.. The qualities they described are as well-known by those of us who knew Kevin only briefly, as he manifest a genuine interest in all those he met.
He was a remarkable person and his strengths and gifts: compassion, generosity, curiosity, commitment to family, friends and community, will live on in his children, Maggie and Max.

I have a pair of slippers that somehow made their way from Kevin to me. I think about Kevin’s generosity every morning when I put them on. Daryl

What a beautiful tribute to Kevin! We are so saddened by Kevin’s death and our hearts ache for Suzy, Maggie, Max and all of his family, friends, coworkers and community members. The years we spent with Kevin & Suzy in Kingston were very special to us. Our friendship is what got us through the difficult residency years. Sharing meals together (sometimes daily), playing tennis, hockey and going for runs, games nights (Cranium especially) with other couples, time spent at our cottage on Bob’s Lake, hiking trips to the Adirondack mountains, the many Holiday meals we cooked and shared together are all cherished memories we have with Kevin. We are sorry we did not get out to BC yet to reconnect, it was on the agenda in the coming years now that the kids are grown. We will make it to BC soon and look forward to seeing your beautiful town, the Hospital you had such an impact on improving patient Health Care at and the beautiful properties you purchased. We are not surprised at all at the impact you have had during your lifetime and are so very proud of everything you accomplished and will continue to accomplish through Maggie & Max. We feel privileged to have known you and will always cherish your friendship and our years together in Kingston. We will always be there for Suzy, Maggie & Max in any way we can. With Love, Jennifer & Sam (Gryffin & Kieryn)

My dear friend Suzy, Maggie and Max.
Even though I am far away in Norway right now My heart has been with you all day today. Saying goodbye to someone you love so deeply is a pain words can hardly touch.
Please know that Kevin meant so much to so many of us, and we feel incredibly blessed to have known him. He was a truly special man, and his kindness, laughter, generosity, encouragement and the way he loved those around him will never be forgotten.
I can only imagine how heavy your heart must feel right now, but I hope you know you do not have to walk through this alone. I am here for you (Maggie & Max) —in the quiet moments, the hard days, and all the days ahead.
Holding you close in my thoughts and prayers, and sending you all my love.
With all my heart,
Amanda Stregger.

Thank you for sharing that tribute to a wonderful human being. It makes me want to be a better person, to try harder, to reach out more and most importantly of all, to be grateful. Every day. For everything and for every person in my life.. Our hearts are with you.

We are so sorry we could not be with you. It is heart breaking. A fond memory was swimming at their property on the lake and Kevin’s joy in sharing our company. Barb and Pierre.
