I am deeply saddened by the passing of Hollis Coker, a most gentle and kind man with a noble spirit that will be cherished by all who were honoured by his friendship. He was one of Amoco Trinidad’s true pioneers and I acknowledge his great service to our Galeota mission..

May he rest in peace in God’s heavenly kingdom and may the memories of him give comfort to his family in due time.

Although I am now joining in… I Thought I must share that thought that stuck with me of Holis.
A master he was on work related issues and a pleasant friend if you did get to really know him. He was not satisfied until all around him knew the job that they were asked to do. And what was private with him was that he was always willing to look at things from different viewpoints and perspectives. A great brother he was… Go R.I. P. Amen..

I worked with Mr Hollis Coker for a number of years at Amoco.
He was a man of stature, a man of intelligence and integrity. A progressive man who encouraged those around him to demand the best from themselves.
It was an honour to have him as a Supervisor. He is soaring among the angels and asking them to always do their best. May he continue to soar.

Hollis F. Coker brought me into AMOCO in 1996. A true believer in youth who showed evidence of being a lifelong learner in everything called life. He was an Offshore leader and then led a team supporting offshore operations. A true character in his own right, but a man who pushes the envelope and you to your potential. He kept me learning and reading upwards and onwards… two degrees after, I thank him. May he RIP.

This is recognition for a mentor who shaped the trajectory of my life. Hollis was a man defined by a rare unshakable strength. A fortitude rooted in an absolute belief in himself and his vision. He never shrank from a challenge. He held himself to a high standard and refused to let others settle for mediocrity. While his absence leaves a void, he did not leave us unequipped. He is gone but the fire he ignited remains.
