Thank you very much for making Eleanor’s memorial service available online. It truly was an extremely wonderful service. Every word that was spoken perfectly described Eleanor. The memorial service brought back many great memories of Eleanor as my Mom and Eleanor were best friends at Vantage. I have had the privilege of knowing Eleanor all my life. She was the one who first introduced me to the song “Make Me A Channel Of Your Peace”. Eleanor’s love for the Lord made a huge impact on my life and on the life of everyone who crossed her path. She will always be dearly remembered.

My only memory of Eleanor Stamm is that she was our school bus driver, Stanley’s wife. She married Stanley and became a mother to his children. I remember her being a very pretty lady and she was always kind to us kids. My parents, Harold and Mae Petersen (both deceased) would have known her well. I married in 1973 and moved to Australia to live. Our condolences to all those who knew her well.
Kindest greetings from Ross and JoAnne Campbell

It has been a special privilege to “attend” the service on-line today and it all brings back so many memories for me. Eleanor was the first of the McDermit clan I ever met, with memories going back to 1950 when she was in our area. This was followed by a number of further memories of Eleanor & Stan and so many wonderful memories of so many of the rest of the family, at various places and at various times. We think of each of you today, with thoughts of appreciation.

    Dear Family of Eleanor,
I believe it was after seeing an obituary for Stanley that it came into the heart of Dale Shultz that we would make a visit to Moose Jaw area and visit Eleanor in her loss of as described “the love of her Life” Eleanor by hearing about your life’s journey today, we feel that love was something more than a word it was your life …and you freely shared your life and love with all with whom you interacted with. Glad in my heart today for the important choices you made that ” make the difference ” and bring the comfort of God’s love to everyone .
Warmest greetings to all from the green hills of Ireland.
Because of the gospel, your friends Rob n Elva Stapleton.

My earliest memory of Eleanor was in the 50’s at a special Meeting in Regina when she spoke making a deep impression on my young heart. I have never forgotten that impression nor the vivid memory of her presence in that meeting.

God is faithful. Eleanor taught me this in her brief time with the Windsor United Church congregation. I was in my teens when she arrived to lead us in worship. Her smile and warm personality made her a cherished mentor and helped me feel I had something to offer our congregation and to God.
She introduced to “new” to us hymns and some are still favourites. She showed me that your faith is part of you and your daily walk with God. I will be forever grateful to have known her and will always remember her fondly. In our last visit together, years ago, when she was well and when I was passing through town, we had a good cup of tea together and we told our stories to catch up. Our time ended with a hearty hug. I was sad but she encouraged me to continue on my journey and go with God. She told me wherever I went God would go too.
My prayers to all the family and friends and thank you for letting us be a part of this time together!

We treasure the times in the early 1950s when Eleanor and Neala Campbell stayed with us and became part
of our family. We loved her. Eleanor helped Howard with his Grade 7.

My best memory of Eleanor was when she came with her co-workers to a special meeting in a home in our town of Broadview in the early 50s..Her message centred around the last verse of Revelation 21

We came to know Elianor in the early 1980,s through the eyes of her family – Bob Mcdermit brother and Ruth M sister in law = who mwt with us in fellowship meetings, and we remember John and Barbara who visited the meeting onetime with Bob and Ruth.
John lamented the day she had a spiritual lapse like we sometimes do, but recovered to regain and and reaffirm her desire to serve God in the way Jesus taught. It reminded me of Job in the scriptures.God gave Job a hedge which Satan could take away but Job’s foundation stood true. We were priviledged to see Elianor very definitely despite feeble health reaffirm her vows at a gospel meeting later. We are grateful to God for Eleanor’s life and testimony.

I had the privilege of knowing Eleanor for a number of years. She was a beautiful lady inside and out. Her smile always lit up my heart even as she was able to light up the whole room with it. A part of her will always stay with us who knew her ❤️

My husband joins me in sending our condolences to the family of Eleanor Stamm.
Eleanor was a very gracious and wonderful lady. The care and compassion which Eleanor showed for others was beyond description. Eleanor loved the Lord with all her heart, and that love shone brightly through her. Eleanor left a positive and profound impact on my life and on the life of everyone whom she met. My mother and Eleanor were best friends, so I had the privilege of Eleanor’s influence on my life as I grew up. Once you met Eleanor,, you felt like you had known her all your life. Eleanor is now rejoicing in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I had the privilege to get to know Eleanor Stamm for a time. She inspired me by her pragmatism and her Word was her Bond. Her old school paragons spoke volumes to me while she was alive and inspires me now. I am a better person for knowing Eleanor Stamm.
