It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, son, brother and friend Daniel Ray Fletcher. 58, of Lakewood, CO. Daniel passed away on November 29th, 2021, while flying home from Florida where he spent an amazing time with his son, Sebastian and with Sebastian’s family.
Daniel was an extraordinary man, born in 1963 in Shreveport, Louisiana, however he spent most of his life in Colorado on both the Western and Eastern Slopes. His career spanned many opportunities, including chef, trainer and taxi-driver, however he will most be remembered for his humor and his devotion to his family and friends. Daniel’s enthusiasm was contagious. He liked to try everything that came his way, from skiing to mountain biking and snorkeling. He spoiled his family and friends with his delicious cooking and he brought joy and happiness in every life he touched.
Daniel is survived by his son, Sebastian Popescu of Cooper City, FL; his fiancé Phuong Anh from Vietnam, his mother, Beth Fletcher of Topeka, KS; three brothers Charles, Robert and John; three sisters Dianne, Cindy and Shawnda; numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents.
This will be a celebration of Daniel’s life with family and friends, followed by lunch. Daniel’s family and friends were many and from all over; as such there will also be a streaming Internet video session for those unable to attend. Please RSVP using the form below.

Fletch was my CSD trainer at MoneyGram, and it’s in moments like these that words fall short. Rest in peace, young man!

Fletch was a positive person brought light to many of us when we were not having a good day on the phones. I remember him always smiling event during difficult times.
I admired how kind and loving he was with all kids at Heather’s eastern parties. Fletch, you will be missed.

Fletch will be missed. Camping with Fletch was alway a bright spot in our summers. He showed us how to do breakfasts right, and I think of him every time I light a fire in the mountains

We met through a mutual friend named Heather. We spent many a game nights and super bowls together. Fletch was always a breathe of fresh air with his honesty, wit, and humor. I enjoyed his company every time we got together. He will be greatly missed and wish I had one more conversation to tell him so.
