Sample Order of Service

There are many ways to customize a virtual memorial gathering. Here are some examples:

Order of Service with Virtual Memorial Gathering (Professional Package) – 60 minutes

  1. Intro Screen with photo of your loved one, their name and a welcome message. You can selecting the music played. This will remain on the screen for approximately 4 minutes while guests join.
  2. Welcome Announcement from Virtual Memorial Gatherings. This is a general welcome with instructions to guests and a hand-off to moderator or first speaker.
  3. First Speaker – gives welcome and can be given by a friend, family member or clergy. 
  4. Second Speaker – gives eulogy (usually a longer message telling the story of your loved one – could include the obituary)
  5. Third Speaker – gives tribute (usually a shorter message sharing special memories of your loved one.)
  6. Fourth Speaker – gives tribute or reading
  7. Fifth Speaker – gives tribute or reading
  8. Sixth Speaker – gives tribute or reading
  9. Slide show with music 
  10. Outro screen – includes a photo of your loved one, their name and a thank you message. Music of your choice is added and this will appear on the screen for approximately 4 minutes and will fade to a message that the service has concluded.

Order of Service with Virtual Memorial Gathering (Professional Package plus Virtual Reception) – 90 minutes

  1. Intro Screen with photo of your loved one, their name and a welcome message. You can selecting the music played. This will remain on the screen for approximately 4 minutes while guests join.
  2. Welcome Announcement from Virtual Memorial Gatherings. This is a general welcome with instructions to guests and a hand-off to moderator or first speaker.
  3. First Speaker – gives welcome and can be given by a friend, family member or clergy.

  10. Virtual Reception with open mic. Our moderator will invite guests onto the screen who have registered in advance to share. Each guest will appear on the screen providing they turn on their video. 
  11. Final Expression of Thanks from a family member
  12. Outro screen – includes a photo of your loved one, their name and a thank you message. Music of your choice is added and this will appear on the screen for approximately 4 minutes and will fade to a message that the service has concluded.
