Zepheniah Johnson Obituary
In Loving Memory of Zepheniah Johnson (1940–2025)
It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a well-lived life that we announce the passing of Zepheniah Johnson, who departed this life on September 5, 2025, at the age of 84.
Born on October 4, 1940, in the humble village of Ticky Ticky, Christiana, Manchester, Jamaica West indies, Zepheniah was the cherished son of Irene Wilkinson Johnson and Hubert Johnson. He later made his home between Horse-Shoe Corner, Grey ground, Manchester, Royal Flat, Manchester, Jamaica and Houston, Texas, where he left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Zepheniah was a man of boundless energy and infectious joy. His laughter could light up a room, and his presence brought comfort and strength. Though jovial in spirit, he was also firm and decisive a man who never shied away from responsibility and who met every task with unwavering commitment. His hands were never idle, and his heart was always open.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Morlace May Johnson, whose love and partnership spanned 58 years. Together they raised a beautiful family: Michael “Mikey”, Maxine, Jasmine, Zephaniah “Junior”, and Terryann. His legacy continues through 18 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren, as well as his beloved sisters, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and dear friends across Jamaica, the United States, and beyond.

Zepheniah’s life was a testament to faith, family, and fortitude. Though he has departed from this earthly realm, his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. May he rest in eternal peace.

Daddy aka ‘Jeebos’ ‘Zebroy’ both names affectionately given by Junior, has left an irreplaceable void in my heart and life. His smile, his voice, his touch remains etched in my memories for all time. His guidance and directives all well learned will always remain in the forefront of my decisions.
I miss you and recognize how fortunate I have been in calling you my father.

Sister J and myself were thought by most people as biological sister’s thats how close our relationship is. Brother J, was loved and respected by all in the community of Royal Flat. Oh when the Books of heaven are opened and the roll shall be called, yes, there will be many souls who will shake brother Js” hand and say “thank you for helping me to get here”. Sister Johnson, Children, Grandchildren, “Inlaws” and Friends there is too much to gain to loose. Let us be faithful, it wont be long when we shall meet never to part. Let us be faithful to the end . Aunt Thamar & Family.

Bro. J was my beloved God father and a dear friend to our parents for many decades. He was a generous and jovial parent figure and always present at back to school time. He would often joke with a straight face while his eyes sparkled with mischief. We were blessed to have him and Sis J and their family in our lives and will miss him dearly. Sending hugs and wishes for the “peace that passes all understanding” to the family during this sad season.

My sincere condolences to the Johnson’s family. May the peace of God be your comfort as you mourn the lost of your love one. I met uncle Zeph, (as we normally called him) on several occasions, he is my sister Dainty, father’s brother. He was such a humble kind and loving person. He always greets you with a big smile nothing fake you could see that it’s was a genuine person. May his soul rest in eternal peace, as my prayers remains with the family

Today we remember my uncle with love and gratitude. He had a simple but special way of making us smile—whether it was handing us snacks and a little money when he was on his route, or calling just to check in and give us an update. I especially remember how I always preferred the long pack biscuits he gave us over the short ones—it’s the little things that stick. His sharp sense of style always made me think he was rotten rich, and he carried himself with such confidence.(pep in his steps) I’ll never forget his visits to us in the Blue Mountain and the stories he shared about Bermuda. May his soul rest in peace, and may his wife and children find comfort in knowing the joy and kindness he spread will always be remembered.
Walk good Uncle Zeph

Terry, I know how deeply you loved your father, shown so clearly in the way you cared for him. Your mother, a devoted wife, never left his side, her strength and love were unwavering.
I know this journey has been a devastating one, and words may feel inadequate right now. But rest assured, Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
Please know that I am praying for your strength, peace, and comfort during this difficult time.
With heartfelt sympathy

I have known Brother Johnson all my life, and I can truly say he was a remarkable man. Kind, hard-working, jovial, helpful, fun-loving, and caring, he touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Beyond these qualities, he was also a faithful man of God, living by his principles and shining his light wherever he went. Though he has departed this earthly life, his legacy of love, laughter, and service will never fade from our hearts. We take comfort in the blessed hope that one day, in the first resurrection, we will see him again, reunited in joy and peace.
To Sis. Johnson and the entire family, please accept my deepest condolences. May the Lord grant you strength, comfort, and peace in this time of grief. You remain in my thoughts and prayers.
❤️Petal
