Sheryl Dianne Blair Obituary
Sheryl Dianne Blair, age 72, of Sparks Nevada, passed away on January 18, 2026.
Born April 13, 1953, in Vancouver BC, the first of five girls to Everett and Ethel Dunnett. The family, with the first three daughters, moved to California in 1956.
In 1971, just after graduating Oak Grove High School, San Jose California, she married her childhood sweetheart, Edwin J. Blair on July 17th. Together they had two children, Holly (Blair) Chavez and Troy Blair. They enjoyed an eventful 54 years of marriage, full of adventures.
Sheri had a great capacity to love. She loved her faith, her family, friends, and anyone that she picked up along the way who needed an extra mom.
She is survived by her husband Ed Blair, her children, Holly Chavez (and Tyson) and Troy Blair; grandsons Brayton Chavez, Noah Blair, Davin Chavez, Ashton Blair and Dillon Blair. She is also leaving behind her father Everett Dunnett; sisters Barbara Lee, Brenda Porter, Kathy Naef and Carla Dunnett; half brothers Robert and Trevor Dunnett, in addition to a plethora of aunties, uncles and cousins.

Love and warm thoughts for her dear sisters and family.

Thinking of you, Ed, Tyson & Holly, Brayton & Sommer, Davin, Troy and family, and sending love. I’m so thankful Sheri had what nothing can take from us.
@
So sorry to hear this sad news! I will try to listen to the service!

Wonderful memories of Sheryl, Ed, Holly & Troy from when we all used to ski together at Silver Star many years ago.
Sheryl had a way of treating all of us kids as part of her own.

Sheri as many wonderful qualities but three of them stand out to me. First she was one of the most temperate, calm and peaceful ladies I have ever met. I never saw her lose her temper or get angry or upset.
Another quality that I loved about her, is that she never gossiped about anyone or was critical of anyone at least in my presence.
Another quality was that I always felt comfortable and appreciated in her presence. And there was no doubt in my mind that she loved God!

Great Memories. She was so solid. Was a privilege to be a part of your lives.

I have lovely memories of being snowed in at Truckee in the Blair house and keeping in touch with Sheri over the years. Love to all the family xx

We were saddened to hear of the passing of our dear sister in Christ.
It is a comfort knowing that she lived for the love and faith in Jesus and His way!
We enjoyed meeting with Sheri and Ed through the years, in fellowship meetings, gospel meetings, and conventions.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends!
Sent with Love, Tom and Cornelia

My thoughts are with you, Ed, Holly, Troy, and families. Such fond memories of Livermore days together…and being snowed in at Tahoe…you got all the kids, we were “stuck” with the *old folks”!!! Sheri was always game for a new adventure. I loved her natural enthusiasm and was always encouraged by her spirit and faith.
Hugs around.

Very sorry to hear this sad news. As a youngster we used to stop and overnight at their home in Placerville when riding our motorcycles through to southern states. Sheri and Ed always made us feel right at home and even gave us the keys to their car to drive. Such kind and caring people. My condolences to the family

We so valued our friendship with Ed and Sheri. Was so impressed with her accepting spirit. We will truly miss her in our Sunday meeting. We know she will be greatly missed by her family and friends!

Oh, so full of life and aways a big smile. Forever remembered and all the past memories of her love extended to any.
Sorely will be missed and gone way too soon.
Our hearts are with you and yours!

Thinking of when I last saw Sheri. I had a glimpse of what God’s word mentions of the fruit of the Spirit. I like to think that God in His miraculous wisdom creates beautiful tapestries in lives where joys and sorrows are interwoven, colorful threads throughout time…. interwoven threads of the ‘fruit’ of the Spirit….that strong golden thread of ‘love’ amongst the weaving, holding all other threads together.
We behold the beauty of……….
The Master Weaver.
I know you will miss this beautiful lady…. thankful for the comfort from Heaven that will be always near you.

Sheri’s warm embrace stretched around a lot of people. I hope her precious memories will continue to warm hearts and give comfort. I will always have fond memories of Sheri and Ed trusting me to look after darling, young Holly and Troy while they went on vacation… we had so much fun together! (There was even an impromptu wedding involved.)

Thinking of you all with sympathy and love,
