We’ll help you look like a pro!
You’re all set to embark on live streaming your event from your smart phone. Simply follow these instructions to get set up:
If you haven’t already, please download the streaming App to your phone:
Next steps:
- Watch for the test link that we send you by text message
- Be ready to use the link at the time you scheduled for your test and coaching session with our staff, along with your second contact person
- Watch for the link for the actual event which will be sent via text message and be ready to click on it and start streaming your event
- We recommend starting your live stream about 10 minutes early so that everyone can get on the live stream before you start
- Be sure you have your phone fully charged and if possible have it plugged in to a power source
- Turn of notifications on your phone
- Position your phone on a tripod with a phone clip (Don’t try to hand hold the phone as the image won’t be steady and will be hard to watch.
- Make sure your camera is in horizontal position so that the frame is filled with video.
- If you move the camera/tripod, do so in slow smooth motions to allow your viewers to follow along without getting seasick!
- Set up your view in advance and position your camera with lighting behind you. Do not stream facing windows or bright lights
- Try to frame the speaker(s) in the view to fill the screen as much as possible
- Have a second person that is not using the phone as a communicator via text message in case we need to provide additional feedback during the event
- Check your event space in advance to be sure you have a good wifi signal or cellular data coverage
- Ask guests in the room to keep background noises to a minimum so that the mic only picks up the speaker(s)
- You can start and stop the stream at anytime within 24 hours of the scheduled start time. Keep in mind that the live stream will automatically convert to a recording anytime you stop. The recording can be viewed on the same page as the live stream.
