Self-Serve Live Streaming Support

We’ll help you look like a pro!

You’re all set to embark on live streaming your event from your smart phone. Simply follow these instructions to get set up:

If you haven’t already, please download the streaming App to your phone:

Next steps:

  1. Watch for the test link that we send you by text message
  2. Be ready to use the link at the time you scheduled for your test and coaching session with our staff, along with your second contact person
  3. Watch for the link for the actual event which will be sent via text message and be ready to click on it and start streaming your event
  4. We recommend starting your live stream about 10 minutes early so that everyone can get on the live stream before you start
  5. Be sure you have your phone fully charged and if possible have it plugged in to a power source
  6. Turn of notifications on your phone
  7. Position your phone on a tripod with a phone clip (Don’t try to hand hold the phone as the image won’t be steady and will be hard to watch.
  8. Make sure your camera is in horizontal position so that the frame is filled with video.
  9. If you move the camera/tripod, do so in slow smooth motions to allow your viewers to follow along without getting seasick!
  10. Set up your view in advance and position your camera with lighting behind you. Do not stream facing windows or bright lights
  11. Try to frame the speaker(s) in the view to fill the screen as much as possible
  12. Have a second person that is not using the phone as a communicator via text message in case we need to provide additional feedback during the event
  13. Check your event space in advance to be sure you have a good wifi signal or cellular data coverage
  14. Ask guests in the room to keep background noises to a minimum so that the mic only picks up the speaker(s)
  15. You can start and stop the stream at anytime within 24 hours of the scheduled start time. Keep in mind that the live stream will automatically convert to a recording anytime you stop. The recording can be viewed on the same page as the live stream.
