‘Ray’ was born March 16, 1940, in Cumberland, BC, on Vancouver lsland. He passed away February 11, 2022, at the age of 81 years, at Surrey BC. Ray was predeceased by his parents Joe Lewis and Eileen Lewis, granddaughter Lauren Lewis, and brother Charles (Doug) Lewis.
Ray is survived by his loving wife Nancy, and sons Russell of Surrey BC and Michael, of Edmonton, Alberta, and brother Grant of Burnaby BC. He is also survived by his granddaughter Danika, and his grandsons Nick (Brooke), Jeff (Genieva), and Todd Lewis, and Todd’s loving wife Tiara, plus 2 great granddaughters, Blakely and Kinlee Lewis.
Ray grew up in Vancouver, BC. He met Nancy when she moved to Vancouver and attended Gladstone High School. Ray and Nancy were married in Vancouver on January 6, 1961. Shortly after married, Ray and Nancy moved to Sacramento California, where they lived for 5 years. Their sons Russ and Mike were both born in Sacramento, in 1962 and 1965 respectively. They next moved to Seattle, Washington for 4 years, before relocating to Langley, where Ray lived the rest of his life.
Ray worked as a Realtor for most of his life, and spent the last 30 years selling homes for Sutton Realty in Langley. Ray worked with utmost honesty, respect and integrity. His love for God and the Faith he had in his heart guided his everyday life. Ray was highly respected and loved by all who knew him. He left us suddenly and will be missed by all who knew him.

Sending love to you Aunty Nancy & and to you both Mike & Russell. It’s so hard to lose your husband/Dad! I, too, am going to miss Uncle Ray’s very bright and infectious cheery smile and happy greetings whenever I saw him! Always kind and always so friendly. I’m sorry for your loss…it won’t seem real for a while & really hard because you will miss him so much, but soon memories will come with a smile. So sorry about Ray’s passing. He will be missed. I’ve known Ray for many years as the Pollock family and Ray’s Mother and Jean Pollock were close friends. Also, when I found myself needing a full time person to care for my girls while I worked/ Ray’s mother was so kind to help me out. Ray inherited that same kind of kindness.
