I met Peter in 1980 when we worked at the CUNY Graduate Center. Over the years I apartment sat for Peter and Fran and Louis when they escaped the hot summers in New York City. I grew to love the Harris family. Peter was kind and generous. His British wit was unmatched. He will be greatly missed by all his friends and family and me. He was a true gentleman !

Dear Francie and Louis,
I just watched the video of the beautiful memorial and learned so much about Peter. Living across the country I only saw you together a few times but I felt then what a happy couple and family you made.
Wishing you strength during this time. His memory is truly a blessing.
Love,
Natalie

I am incredibly saddened by the loss of Pete. I worked with him for ten years and he was always a great boss who knew that work came second to life. He created an environment at the CUNY Graduate Center which allowed for every one under him to grow. I am grateful for that. He always had a genuine interest in the well being of his employees.
My deepest condolences,
Dan Tracy

Peter was our cousin and a true English gentleman. A very kind, considerate, funny, lovely man. His jokes are legendary, he will be greatly missed by his remaining family in the U.K. and my trips to NY will never be the same again. Sending love to Fran and Louis at this very sad time.
