In Loving Memory of
Rose Nkirote Kirimania
May 5, 1965 – April 16, 2019
Celebration of Life was held on May 8, 2021 at 10:00 AM CDT / 6:00 PM Kenya
At the age of 53, Rose Kirimania passed away peacefully at her home in Minooka, with family by her side, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Meru, Kenya, she emigrated to the United States in January of 2016 to join her family who were already here. She was a wonderful person who made friends everywhere she went. Rose had a creative ability to make people laugh. Her family was inspired by the way she lived her life for them to be better than they thought they ever could be. Rose taught them that kindness and love is to be lived and practiced every day.
Her chosen career path as a caregiver for Assisting Hands of Downers Grove proves her desire to help those who needed it the most.
Rose is survived by her two daughters, Ivy (Zachary) Brynolf of Belvidere, IL and Nadia Karimi ofMinooka, IL ; her parents, Erastus and Monica Kirimania of Meru, Kenya; two grandchildren, Zaiden and Zoe Brynolf; four sisters, Florence (Oluoch) Obura, Leah Kirimania all of Kenya, Salome Kirimania of Minooka, IL and Susan (Edward) Lusambo of Zambia; and two brothers, Kimaita (Lydia) Kirimania and Henry (Patricia) Kirimania all of Kenya. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
We celebrate Rose Our Beloved! We miss your funny stories, that made everyone laugh, we miss your passion for color around you! We miss you because we just miss you! In our hearts forever you will be! We thank family, friends and Rose’s healthcare team for providing Rose with comfort and care, prayers and presence!
Rose will be laid to rest at: Arlington Memorial Park 6202 Charles St Rockford, IL 61108
