Dearest Murray, Beth, Carlie, and Tidd’s,

Above all we remember a loving, affectionate, smiling, and kind Nigel; a true joy to know and love. We hold each of you close to our hearts these days, knowing that your sorrow is as deep as your love for him will always be.

We know God is proving and you are experiencing that the deeper the injury in your hearts, the more tender the love and the longer the arm that reaches down and touches the aching wound. He can heal, comfort and embrace you as you face this.

We love all of you beyond words…

Our hearts ache .Nigel was loved by us all . We already miss his sparkling smile, his larger than life way of saying so many kind and thoughtful things; that were usually followed by a warm embrace. One of our last conversations was at Katrina’s wedding where we all had such a happy day ; he gave me the biggest hug and said “Auntie Twy you look amazing” .
When Bruce was in the accident, Nigel made many a tearful phone calls to us from Calgary, wishing he was there with us, to help us through our crisis . Such a tender heart .
These are hard days , know we are with you all.
So glad God’s grace is a comfort . He knows our hearts .
    Much love

I never had the honour of meeting Nigel. However, he made a huge impact on my son, Brandon Fong, as a solid friend, both supportive, fun to play sports with and sharing a love of the trades. Bless Nigel. He sounded like a lovely soul. He will be sadly missed. My thoughts are with his family. Tari Lowe

My memories of Nigel and Carlie go back to when they were about 7 and 9, and you had come as a family to Bonners Ferry convention. I worked in the dining room, and Carlie and Nigel begged me to sign them up as water pourers on the workers table, and I was delighted to do that, and was rewarded with 2 memorable hugs. I watched them at their job, through the convention meals, and ALWAYS they BOTH were so diligent about doing their job to the best of their ability. Wonderful memories of sweet, innocent children, just wanting to give their all. . Reg and I have you all in our hearts and our prayers. ❤️

We met with Nigel and Roxanne on Wednesday nights. Because Nigel was Murray’s son and we knew Murray well from earlier days we had a lot of fun and teased Nigel. He was a gorgeous kid and had a great sense of humour. He was very helpful in our little bible stiudy group. We really missed them both when they left. It was shocking news beyond belief .Murray and Beth our hearts are breaking with yours. No parent should face this. Sending our deepest condolences. Xx

Nigel from a very young age was a frequent visitor at my parents house. He was one who was always full of exuberance and a passion for the moment. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time. Remember the good times. At times growing up it’s like he was a permanent fixture around the house. He will always be remembered. It’s difficult to express any message that conveys the sadness felt for your family.

The first time I met Nigel was at a basketball camp and. I remember Nigel being one of the best players there, and throughly enjoying the grind of training and improving.. Later, being a teammate and friend of Nigel’s at Seaquam was a pleasure. His kindness and openness were traits I admired and looked up to during those years. My heart goes out to all of his friends, family, and loved ones. RIP Nigel Penner 🕊🤍

We have been thinking of you so much over the past few days. We were very sad to hear of Nigel’s passing. When he first moved to Calgary, Nigel came to our house for Sunday meeting, and we appreciated him and the other young people who came with him. Nigel was always friendly, likeable and kind to our boys, and would sometimes go downstairs after meeting and shoot a few balls through their mini-hoop! Once when we were away, Nigel helped start the singing! We feel for your great loss and sadness.
