Joel S. Williams, age 46, of Sterling, VA, passed away Monday, September 28, 2020 at INOVA Loudoun Hospital Center in Leesburg, VA.
Born Sunday, November 11, 1973, he was the son of James and Kumdee (Palino) Williams. Joel’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. He was always able to see the positive in every situation and the good in others. He was a gifted child raised by his parents who praised him and showered him with unconditional love. His positive energy, humor and love brought so much joy to our family.
Joel is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Amy Vien; four children, Fable, Maven, Rex and Omnia Vien-Williams; his parents, James and Kumdee Williams; three siblings, Lotus Swilley (Glen), Josh Williams and Esther Matson; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces and extended family who loved him.
Condolences may be sent to P.O. Box 650112, Sterling, VA 20165 or visit: http://ffnd.co/F7qTPG

Joel was such an energetic and optimistic entrepreneur. His love for Amy and the children was nonstop and he could not have worked any harder to support his family. He helped us start our company and he will be sorely missed.

As Fable’s teacher, I knew Joel as a loving and caring father who adored his wife and children. He was always appreciative towards myself, Ruman, and Denise for teaching/working with Fable and for loving her. “Thank you for all you do, for these kids” he would say to us. At pick up, Joel would ask one of us “how was Fable’s day?” Or “how was she today?” He always had a smile on his face and an amazing personality that was noticed by many. Joel, thank you for crossing my path. May you rest in piece and continue to watch over Amy, Fable, Maven, Rex, Omnia, and family/friends who are missing you more and more each day.
