Colman McCarthy Obituary
Colman McCarthy of Maspeth Queens passed away peacefully on Friday October 17, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was from Boherbue County Cork Ireland.
When he immigrated to the United States in 1970 he joined his brother Noel in Woodlawn in the Bronx. In his early days he played GAA football and hurling, enjoying time with his fellow Irishman.
In 1979 Colman and his wife Anna moved from the Bronx to Maspeth Queens where he opened Mac’s Bar and had this establishment on Fresh Pond Road for 35 years retiring in 2013.
To anyone who knew him they would know his favorite saying was ” NO PROBLEM “
Thank you Colman for being the best husband, Uncle and Grand Uncle Friend to all of us. We will miss and love you always.
In lieu of flowers the McCarthy family has requested that donations be made in the memory of Richard Colman McCarthy to Alzheimer’s foundation of America or American Cancer Society.
