Grandma Licha was a beautiful person, both inside and out. I felt very blessed to have such wonderful grandparents through Jimmy. Grandpa and Grandma Lopez always made me feel like a piece of home in every interaction we had. I often think of Grandma Licha as a force of nature—her presence was always unforgettable and full of admiration. Always leaving a positive and memorable impact on our lives. She was strong enough to get things done, clever enough to keep going, and had the biggest, kindest heart, caring for so many people throughout her life.

We often talk about her, and this is how we continue to feel her close, even though she is no longer with us. She will always be a shining star we look up to—someone we remember with great love and respect. I am deeply grateful that I had the chance to know her, to share laughs with her, and for the valuable life lessons she taught my husband, which I cherish dearly.

It saddens us that we were not able to attend the service to be with family and say goodbye to grandma one last time. However, it is never truly a goodbye when you carry someone’s memory in your words, your own life stories, and most of all, in your heart. May she rest in peace and finally reunite with the love of her life.

    Grandma, we love you tremendously.
