Richard and Mae Roso Obituary
Two well-loved people, Richard (Rich) Roso and Mae Leona (Postell) Roso, passed away almost a decade apart. Mae, 90, passed away on April 16, 2020. She was the beloved wife of over 60 years of Richard Roso, 81, who passed away July 21, 2011. They are once again together, buried together at La Belle Cemetery in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.
Two of Mae’s favorite things – her husband and chocolate – came together at age 16 when Mae put brownies in Rich’s locker in high school. The rest is history. They shared a love of bowling, Rich being good enough to be a professional bowler had he chosen. One of his regrets was that both of his 300 games were not during a sanctioned tournament. They both loved dancing and were terrific at jitterbugging. As Rich famously wrote in Mae’s 1947 high school yearbook “Dear Mae, I enjoyed dancing with you immensely. Looking forward to more. Rich Roso”.
They loved to travel, their favorites being visiting family in various cities around the US and to vacation in Mexico. They loved it so much that when they finally were able to build a house to their specifications, they built a hacienda style home, complete with a central courtyard and fountain.
Mae and Rich are remembered as wonderful, generous and hardworking parents to their nine children; Kathleen Roso, Dianne Vickery (Robert), Rick Roso (Cathy), Judy Taub (Ivan), Jeanne Snyder, Chris Brown (Mark), Tom Roso, Tony Roso (Jeannine), and Maria Cleverly (John). Mae and Rich also remain in the heartsof many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
They will be missed.

Richard and Mae. You truly exemplify family love and commitment. I always admired how strong and happy you all were when you gathered together as a family.
Mae was always so sweet, kind and calm. Richard was so knowledgeable, skillful and energetic. You were a perfect match to balance out each other. Your love for each other and your children is evident in the strong family bond. I am very grateful to have had the opportunity learn and witness your strength, devotion and love to one another.
Rest in peace together Richard and Mae.

Aunt Mae & Uncle Rich, we miss you. From stopping at dad’s house (Albert) picking up sausages. To Aunt Mae telling stories of the kids. Not letting Richard telling us jokes in dad’s backyard because the kids were there ie. Karen & Mary we had been in are 30’s then. Love you
