Roger Mark Siegfried passed away after a long battle with COVID-19 on May 25, 2020. Roger was a loving and caring husband, father, son and brother. He was cherished and adored by his family. He was born in Wilmington, DE to the late Kenneth and Therese Siegfried.
Roger was a graduate of Delcastle High School. He was employed as a senior machine operator at Bank of America for many years. Roger was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan, an avid collector and player of Magic the Gathering, and he loved to discuss historical facts and trivia.
Roger was happiest spending time with his family and close friends, supporting Ben and Nicky on the field and working in the yard with Melissa. His warm smile, his infectious laugh and his quick wit were classic Roger. He never let a day go by without telling Ben and Nicky, “I love you and I’m proud of you”.
Roger was a warrior; he beat cancer in 2019 and kept on fighting until the end. He will be missed terribly. Roger is survived by his wife of 3 years, Melissa of Wilmington, DE; his sons, Benjamin and Nicholas of Wilmington, DE; his brothers, Eric (Susan) of Bear, DE and Kenneth Jr. (Patti) of Granville, OH and five nieces and nephews.

I have never met Roger Siegfried, but I know that he helped raise a wonderful son Ben and that says a lot about a man.

I met Roger when Ben and my son Nic became roommates at LVC, football teammates and most importantly best friends. Roger’s passion for his family was evident and infectious. We are Steelers fans and would tease Ben and Roger about the Dallas football seasons. Loved his smile!

Melissa,
Heartfelt thoughts go out to you and your family. Roger was such a nice man. We always enjoyed his company at the LCE Christmas party. He was always smiling. May he rest in peace.
With Sincere Sympathy,
