It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Olympio (Olly) Magnaye on January 18, 2022. Olly suffered a debilitating stroke in November 2020 while in the Philippines. He is survived by his children: Michael (and Camille), Michelle (and Dudley), Mellissa and Angelgrace; his grandchildren: Mirita, Jaiden, Callum, Sydney, Maliyah and Maya; his great grandchild: Odin; as well as his mother, Lucia, and brothers and sisters.
Olly was an amazing man who was born in the Philippines in 1943 and left for Canada in 1973 in search of a better life for his young family. He loved bowling and building/fixing things and watching all sports. You would often see him at the local donut shop enjoying a fritter and coffee while reading the Toronto Sun. He was a simple and quiet man who worked hard as a custodian/engineer for over 25 years to provide for his family.
As Olly wished, he was able to spend most of his retirement in the Philippines enjoying bowling and hanging out with friends and family.
