It is with heavy heart that we announce the sudden and untimely passing of the youngest daughter of Hilton and Pastora Panton, Millie Panton (Una Millicent Elizabeth Panton). On January 26th, 2022, at 7:05 pm Millie passed on to join her parents, sisters, and brothers in the next life.
Millie was a lifelong parishioner at St. John United Church and had risen to be one of the elders on the church’s board. Millie served the Greater Hamilton area as a Real Estate Agent and Broker since 1970 and was a well-known fixture at the Real Estate Board. In her 50 plus years in Hamilton, Millie tirelessly gave her time to many causes, charities and events and even rose to be President of the local Soroptimists Chapter.
Millie is survived by her sister Gloria, her son Raymond (Debbie-Lynne), her daughter Dianne, and grandchildren, Tremayne (Cherie), Daniel and Makenna as well as her fur babies Jules and Molly. Her love, guidance, strength, and generosity will be missed by all that knew her. Our only comfort in this time of loss, is that she did not suffer for long and passed peacefully, with Natalie, Dianne, Debbie, and Raymond by her side after many family members were able to say their good-byes and she received a prayer from her Pastor. You will be missed by all that knew you far and wide.
In The Spirit of Giving that Millie lived by, in lieu of flowers for her Celebration of Life or Visitation, please make donations in Millie’s honour to Neighbour-2-Neighbour, The Heart and Stroke Foundation, and Canadian Blood Services.

I met Millicent in 1957 when I visited her home in Portland with her sister Gloria and my batchmate at Shortwood Teachers’ College.. She was cordial and friendly and a devoted Christian. She loved helping others and her kindness and compassion were measures of her greatness. These traits were the background of the lovely woman she became. We shall miss her. May she rest in eternal peace.

It is with a heavy heart that I am writing these words.
First of all, we would like to send our sincerest condolences to Raymond, Debbie, Makenna, and Diane for their loss.
Millicent was not just my sister-in-law, she was my sister and my friend. There are so many wonderful memories to list, but the one that I remember was the time she visited us in B.C. – going to the casino and losing a couple of dollars and how she taught me to make Jamaican beef soup with all the things she brought from Hamilton.
Millicent, I loved you from the first time I met you at the Toronto airport on February 14, 1969.
May God take your hands and guide you to your final resting place. We will always cherish your love and your memory.
The Bastaja and Adair families.

My Deepest Condolences to Miss Millie family, i have known Miss Millie for over 20years and She was the Kindest, Loving and Compassionate women and realtor I have ever known, God I remember going house hunting with her, she was so patient, I would have given up on me if I was the realtor, but she was determined to help me find the house i want, and she did. And every year end i am sure my calendar will be coming, Miss Millie were One in a Million and I surely going to miss the phone calls, the early morning texts and her smiling face. She had so many more plans for this year and was excited that she was retired after 50 years, we even had our lunch date already planned, But God knows all things best, I know you are in a better place now, but I want your family to know that you were loved and your kindness, your love for people was greatly appreciated, and will forever live in my heart and thoughts and everytime i open my house door, i will reminded of this Great women we call Miss Millie. R.I.P Miss Millie. ❤️❤️❤️ Friends forever Nardia H. and Family ❤️❤️❤️
