Beautiful service today for a beautiful lady, in every sense of the word. We’ve been thinking of you as you say good-bye to your dear mom and grandma. We were so glad to have gotten acquainted with both Ernest and Kaye while they were in Sherwood Park and are so grateful for the lasting positive “noble” influence they both left. Sending love and hugs..

Dear Delaney family: Via Live Stream, it was very special to listen to this faithful friend, Kaye’s service. I’ve never personally met Kaye, but was thankful for her inspiring life. Years ago, I met Ernest @ Glen Valley convention. We were in the dining room…..Very happily : -), I said to this gentleman beside me, “I’ve just seen the sweetest little Haitian fella, age 5, Troy.” His buttons almost popping, he replied, “THAT’S MY GRANDSON!!” Well done, Troy!! Gem: “The greatest inheritance that anyone can leave is a Godly influence.” And your dear mom, grandma & great-grandma & our friend & sister-in-Christ, Kaye, has certainly done this! A wonderful comfort to all of us. LOVE, betty [peters, stelfox]hredil, penticton, b.c.

So many fond memories of Kaye and Ernest. They were a team! Years ago they lived on the UBC campus working for the headman there. Gordon Winkler and I spent a weekend with them in the big mansion as Mr. Steinway was away. What a time we had. Their love and friendship has been constant over many years. It was a privilege to visit with Kaye in her home in Merritt. We all took a stab at reciting what we could of The Settlers story. Another fond memory I have is one time Ernest waxed eloquent about Ireland. He said, “in all me limited travels there is no green like the green of Ireland.” We so cherish the fellowship and friendship of Kaye and Ernest over the years.

I will always be grateful for Ernest and Kay’s faithfulness and friendship that spanned over many decades. Our friendship began in Vancouver when I was a young teen who moved into the nursing residence on 12th Ave. Even though they had to drive a good distance out of their way to pick me up for Wed’s and Sunday meetings every week, they were happy to do so, while all the while insisting that it was of no inconvenience to themselves. Their love and care for their brethren will always be remembered. Kaye was a regal beautiful woman inside and out. Her smile, wisdom and grace will be remembered by all who knew her. Thinking of all her family who will be missing her, but can take comfort in knowing she finished her race with victory.
