Susan and family, I had no idea your mother had done this much! What accomplishments! What a strong woman. I remember Susan going to China and the Netherlands. Heard a lot about those trips.
I do remember her coming into the clinic to make George’s food. And George’s character, and orneryness. He is as feisty as she is. I know how much you loved her and how you always included her in your life. I’m so glad I got to meet her. My sympathies and prayers. 🙏🐾

I met Edith 20 years ago on a bike ride.Things she taught me over the years 😊😊1) you can ride like a “powerhouse” at any age 2)duct tape will fix anything on a ride 3) carry a dollar bill to patch a tire 4) stuff your rain soaked bike shoes with newspaper overnight 5)how to pack for a week long ride, but I always over packed Lol 6) Peanut M&Ms are necessary for LIFE 🤣
Edith enjoyed the challenge of a ride, BUT she had a love hate relationship with climbing hills. She would ask me, “How hilly is the ride?” She would always kick my butt.
I will always have fond memories of my bicycling friend.❤️❤️

Edith was an amazing person, who accomplished much in her lifetime. I, too, was inspired by her love of cycling; and it led me to take on many adventures I wouldn’t have done: otherwise. As one of her nephews, I was always proud to relate stories of her epic bicycle adventures with my fellow cyclist in the Bay area. But she was much more than a renowned cyclist, she had many more accomplishments in her life to be proud of. Her greatest accomplishment will be the life she shared with Tom, and her children she raised to be success in their own ways. She has touched many, and no matter how short the time we had to spend with her; she will always invoke good memories.
RIP Aunt Edith

Edith, you rode that bike like a true champion, always looking for a new road to ride. You were an inspiration to all who rode with you and a good friend.

Edith was a great bike leader on our IVW bike rides. Always had the route planned out to keep the ride different each time. Also traveled to Wisconsin with her two or three times for a week-long ride.

I have fond memories of being with Edith. She was kind to this inexperienced bike rider. And she gave me a couple of little bike-related gifts.

Aunt Edith lived her life fully and inspired me to do so too. Her humor and wit will be missed.

I have such fond memories of riding many, many miles on IVW group rides here in Illinois with Edith over the years. I don’t think Edith ever missed a group ride! Seems like she could ride mile after mile after mile and never tire!
Even better are the many week-long group trips we made to Florida, Georgia, Wyoming, Wisconsin and so many other places.
Many fond memories of how she liked “Wile E Coyote” and those M&M’s, especially peanut butter M&Ms, hahahaha.
She was really something special and is missed.
R.I.P Edith!

I remember looking forward to your family visits in Kansas. Big family dinners at the farm, time with the Munkres family in town. Love to all. ❤
