    To all of Don’s Family,

Thinking of you all. We know this is joy and sorrow interwoven, since Don has reached the goal he was so longing far. I am grateful for Don’s obvious love for souls… and his love to tell the most precious Gospel story that brings hope to mankind. May you know the comfort of heaven.

It was a privilege to watch Don’s service this morning. I have many fond memories of Don., sometimes as a teasing big brother but someone always caring for my soul and the souls of all who crossed his way. His life will continue to inspire and encourage me to be faithful to the end. Much love and sympathy to his loving family.

Many special memories of Don when he was in our field & in our home. Memories of his kindness, his enthusiasm & his love for God. Thankful for the comfort that is felt because he was faithful. Thinking too of his family as earthly bonds are broken.

To Don’s Family: When I think of our dear Don, David’s’ words in Psa. 18:35 are so clearly portrayed: “THY gentleness hath made me great.” When Don was laboring in our Penticton, BC field, my [late] hubby Frank & I so valued Don’s Divine Love that he so freely shared with all of us. I know that Don’s most helpful “Notes”, that are still coming into my ‘Inbox’, will soon cease & be greatly missed. BUT, the wonderful memories, that I have of our loving & caring friend & brother-in-Christ, will never cease!! Don’s ‘hung his shield of faith in VICTORY’! I know the GOD OF ALL COMFORT is our ‘stay’, as we journey on to our ‘Eternal Home’, to which Don has attained. I’m so thankful for his Godly influence! betty hredil

To Uncle Don’s family – special thoughts go your way on this sad, but triumphant day. We have many fond memories when Uncle Don labored in our field in the Interlake Manitoba many years ago. He was much loved and a real inspiration to us all. His gentle spirit will always be remembered. Do take care. Much love, the Hall family.

Thank you Don for being such a wonderful brother through these many years of knowing you! Met you in 1976 when I was with Muriel Holland in the Lloydminster/North Battleford field and you and Don Puffalt were north in Uranium City. You were outstanding in your zeal and enthusiasm for helping souls come to Christ and for preaching the Gospel story. There has never been a doubt in my mind of how much you loved the souls of mankind! And a Bible scholar who thought and studied God’s Word so deeply. The emails you would send of your many studies made me marvel at the depth and were a great encouragement. You were always so very humble and I truly believe when you wondered if the Lord would accept you that it was because you always felt so unworthy. If only you knew how many many people you encouraged! You taught me so much and encouraged me so much with a kind word in season whenever I needed it. So many memories stay in my heart!

Willis Propp called Don Shenton for our contact, a Dear Aunt. Don came for the private visit with her and the
family, then he came and took her funeral with our two sisters in the field. Don was most kind and came
even with Difficulty. Later we had another contact that asked us to go to mtg. so we would drive the young
man over to Clairmont for Don’s Gospel mtg. then Don came to Dawson creek,B.C. and did Gospel mtgs.
before the Sisters got started in the field. 3 young men made their choice at the Gospel mtg.
Don wrote to my Mother Lillian Schneider, and my self, the most kind and caring letter. I was happy to hear
about Brotherly love at the funeral, so fitting and so helpful to one another to keep on keeping on.
Thank you to all the family and Friends.

So grateful for the many memories of Uncle Don including helping him with odd tasks while he lived in Weyburn and the letters and emails I would receive. When speaking to me he would always say my “great” niece. Well I think he was very “great” uncle. Wishing I could be there in person but, I’m so thankful Uncle Don lived for more than what the earth had to offer. Love you, you’re “great” niece Anna.
