Cristina Teresa Goodman, 65, was promoted to be with Jesus November 4th, 2020. She realized her greatest desire to open her eyes and see Jesus without warning, (thanks a lot) during an afternoon nap. She is survived by her beloved husband Stan, of 32 years of marriage.
Born in Chicago August 10th, 1955 to Esterino Vincent and Mary DiSalvo. Vincent was born in Denver but hailed from Pietrabbondante Italy first generation Italian immigrant. (Every Italian must share their Geological heritage with their name, it’s the law, capeesh)
Cristina graduated from Bogan High School in Chicago. She Started Aviation training at American Airlines Dallas, then switched to Arts and studied at Loyola in Rome and Rosary Collage DuPage Il. Her passion for travel and hospitality led her to Restaurant and then Agent training with Thomas Cook. She was a platinum agent for many years before starting her own Agency Love To Travel to Date. Stan and Cristina followed a life dream to train and share the Gospel. They received an Associate in Bible at Charis Bible School. They pioneered a Bible school plant in Italy along with ministering the grace message to the beautiful Italian people.
Cristina loved her three children and adored her eleven Grandchildren. “Nonna” leaves countless memories to Daughter Sara Grant (Joe) Oakbrook Il, grandchildren Sofia and Jacob; Son, Jeremy Goodman, Parker CO, wife Kate grandchildren, Garret, Gabriel, Mathew, Rory and Joshua; Son Aaron Goodman Arlington TX and wife Stephanie with grandchildren Roman, Brady, Ruby and Miles. Her beloved sister and best friend, Maria Lux and husband Thomas and their children: Franco Borich, Suzanne Caffey and Christopher who adore their “auntie” Cris.
Cristina’s vivacious personality, humorous spirit and uncanny ability could hold her audience captive with laughter and adventure, her story telling was the family favorite, (true or not).
The family will have a private time of saying goodbye November 10th and Virtual Life celebration is scheduled for November 20th 10 AM Mountain time. We will be sharing a link with everyone through contacts and Facebook to participate live, along with archive option. A photo and video memorial will also be provided to honor this incredible woman and all the lives she touched from one who knew her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
In 2018 Cristina published her autobiography, Romancing the Rock. We will be making this book available to anyone who would like to know more of her interesting, humorous, and impactful life.
Cards and flowers are welcome to her entire family please email Stan for address of children and grandchildren due to COVID, (stancrisgoodman@gmail.com). Donations are also welcome to one of her favorite charities, “What Matters Most Ministries Orphanage”.
Cristina wrapped it up best in her own words from the dedication in her book: “To My soon coming King, my Savior, and my righteousness. You’ve kept your word to me always, never abandoning me. You laughed at my jokes, cried with me in my sorrow, listened to my foolishness, caressed me in my loneliness and promised me life-and more abundant life than I could ever ask for. I can’t wait to look in your eyes, kiss your scars, and share a real Italian pizza with you- You choose the toppings!” -Ciao for now-
