Dear Robert, Our hearts continue to ache for you. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and beautiful music. Craig and I can relate to your story about wanting to share a joke with Mary, only to realize that things have changed. It is such a vivid moment when you have something to share. We so appreciated this Memorial.
We miss our moms. Peace be with you, Laura and Craig

Frank Owens was a beloved member of the Des Moines community. His interest in bicyclists saw him establish, “The Dream Team”. Frank’s “dream”, continues to provide bicycles & gear needed for underprivileged youth, free of charge, if they meet the training criteria. Forrest Ridgway of, “Bike World”, has donated bikes & gear to participating youth for 25 years. “The Dream Team”, & their chaperones ride across Iowa in July as part of the RAGBRAI bike ride. Frank was a very active part of his Des Moines community as well as working for Iowa State University & working for Bike World. We sadly lost Frank this Fall. He fought a courageous battle against cancer w/out complaint. He was always a bright light, offering his support & his smile to everyone he met.

I will always look upon my short time with Michael with great fondness. We went everywhere together and he loved going out to eat. He was such a kind and talkative person. My bestie, my bff for life. I miss him dearly. I want to thank virtual memorial for guidance during this most difficult time. God Bless

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal. Dad loved his family, faith, & most of all, God! We don’t wish him back but want to join him for our eternal, heavenly reward.
